After a surprise announcement, followed by a shaky launch, Activision has finally released a new update for the current-gen versions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2. Namely, the update adds eight new playable characters to the first game.
Priced and $40 on its own, or $60 when bundled with the second game, fans of Marvel Ultimate Alliance were upset to find the rerelease of the 10 year old game did not even include the original’s DLC. Soon after launch in July and alongside a much needed technical patch on PC, Activision offered a statement claiming the DLC was coming, but stopped short of giving an exact release date.

The DLC includes the heroes Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Hawkeye, and The Hulk, and the villains Magneto, Venom, Dr. Doom, and Sabertooth. Downloading the patch automatically adds all eight characters directly to your game.
The rereleases of both Marvel Ultimate Alliance and its sequel are available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

This finally gets the definitive version it always deserved. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is no stranger to many in the gaming world. Marvel Ultimate Alliance remains in a league of its own. Whether you've played it before in the old days on PS2 or XB360 or you're a first-time customer, it dampens pure amazement. It's a platinum hit from '06 and a decade later, it hasn't lost much of its cachet. Now.. despite the high price, this game is brilliantly-crafted it runs very smooth ― enhanced gameplay and Gr-r-reat animations. Fantastic level designs, excellent soundtracks and amazing scripted dialogues. Each of the playable super heroes has a set of four alternate costumes, full set of dialogue and some that have with specific friends and archenemies. Jean grey's voice distinctly changes by two different people: the original voice actress from (2006) and a brand new voice over actress in the re-release port ― revamping just a couple of Jean Grey's lines. But this game is worth every penny.
